hi

 

i need little help

 

i import my cad to revit 2020 but its says some elements were lost during import.

i still can see the dwg fille in site floor but it doesnt appear in level 1.

any body can fix this.

Hi, there is an option to import the file just in the active view, thats why you cant see it the other level.

 

And the elements lost in import are sometimes xref lines (cad infinite lines), you cant have that in revit so it give you that error, but i dont think you are losing anything important.

Hi,

 

While importing you have to uncheck the option called " current view only " (Bottom left ) in the pop-up window for selecting the file.  Then click okay, you can see the imported CAD file in all the views.

 

FYR, Please see the image attached (Ignore the red marks)Revit import.jpg

 

Even after this imported CAD files is not visible in views, check Visibilty graphics, whether Import CAD is enabled.

It is a "vertical" CAD drawing, meaning it may be created from AutoCAD Architecture, Civil3D, AutoCAD MEP, etc... You need to open the drawing from the authoring program, use Export To AutoCAD to save it to a "vanilla" AutoCAD drawing, then link that in Revit.
