New to revit

I am trying to mark up measurements on to a Revit drawing of a house. I am having difficulty marking sloped lengths, it only wants to give me horizontal or vertical. Advice appreciated.

I am using a trial version of Revit Lt.

Using Aligned Dimension, hover mouse over the end of the inclined element and hit TAB key repeatedly till it highlights the End/Start point as in images below
