Solid Fill Regions not showing on RCP

Hello,

I am having an issue with my filled regions. In my RCP, when I make a filled region, solid fill does not show any color it is always white (empty). If I make the filled region a pattern then it shows up. This problem is only on my RCP and works just fine on my floor plans. I have checked all my visibility graphics and detail items to make sure everything is on.

Any ideas as to what is wrong? I am assuming it has something to do with a setting in my view template.

Is the RCP view wire frame or hidden?

It is set to hidden lines but that should not control my solid filled regions.

Create a brand new RCP view, no template, and see if a solid filled region will show.  If so, look at your view template for filters that omit detail items transparency and/or foreground/background pattern.

Odd. Is your Foreground Solid White and the Colored or Black in the Background?

It shows solid region when I make a new RCP with no template. There are no filters in my template and everything is turned on and visible in my V/G Overrides model and annotation category.

What is the current work plane of the RCP view?

Currently I am working on the 4th level work plane. My main issue is that I have steel beams framing the floor and I assigned them to have a moment frame end and start connection, which should then show a black solid filled triangle at the ends and they are showing white (empty).

Got to be a Transparency acting on it. That's the only thing I can think of.

Check Overrides By Category, Element and Filter.

So they are not filled regions placed directly in view, but Connection symbols, correct?

If so, check visibility overrides of structure framing category and subcategories.

Both the connection symbols and filled regions do not show. I was wondering why my connection symbols weren't showing up solid black and then realized all my solid regions are not showing up. But filled regions with patterns show up. So I do not think transparency or overrides are the issue.

I cannot share my models for business reasons but here is a snapshot of my issue. The square on the left should be solid black but is empty. The square on the right is the same region but changed to a pattern.

@sbaarXAWKW, I can reproduce behavior like this by setting Transparency in view to 100%

If it isn't a transparency setting, it would be good to test if a new model (using default template) has similar behavior. (If it does the new model could possibly be shared, and if it doesn't you could look at using Transfer Project Standards to find the setting that is different between the models.)

Yes that fixed my problem. It is weird that the transparency setting is in graphic display options but can not be changed, but it is also in the template model display options and that is where it is changed.

This isn't weird. This is a part of the graphical hierarchy of Revit. Templates take precedence over overrides.

I am also having issues with seeing non-masking regions on my floor pattern plan. There is no template applied to the plan; VG has been checked and appears to be set correctly. The first image below has the graphic display set to 0 transparency. The second image has the transparency setting set to 1. The second will show the solid fill pattern, but also applies the transparency to everything else - as directed and not what I want to happen. This view has parts which seems to be the conflict. Does anyone have a work around?
