Solar and shadow study

Hello.

I need a "shadow daily trace plan" to highlight which zone are always dark - and which not - during a normal day. Is it possible in Revit?

Thank you.

Hello,

We create "still" studies for the 9 situations defined by date & times during the day. We do this for printing. But the interesting thing is - Revit can also animate solar studies.

Revit will not do an image like you show in your example. If you need multiple shadows for multiple dates/times in one image, you will need to composite that manually outside of Revit.  As already shown you can do individual images with shadows or a solar animation, but not a composite image of multiple shadows.

You can create multiple images or animations and overlay them in PhotoShop or Premiere to create a composite result.

Hi @Anonymous

Did the recommendations by the experts help with your issue?

You could also render separate images in Revit and then combine them into a single PDF if you are on windows 10 which includes an option to print to a PDF file natively in File Explorer.

See How to Combine Images into One PDF File in Windows
