Snap generic family to front face

I spent time developing a fancy mirror frame and try to load it into a mirror surface, see photo.

I believe if I set the work plane correctly, I can snap (insert) the frame into the mirror face.

Yet i can't.

Can someone show me how ?

They are both generic family, I just mistakenly made the frame in floor plan.

Edit the frame family, tick Work plane, untick always Vertical.
