Small Portable Laptop for Revit

Hi everyone.

I'm currently looking into buying a new laptop to use REVIT on.

My issue is that a lot of the ones listed on previous threads are quite big laptops.

I'm hoping to get a laptop that is very portable.

One that looked good to me was Dell Inspiron 15 7000; 7th generation i7, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce 940MX

The price at £950 is really good but again the laptop is too big.

I started to looking into Dell XPS 13; 7th generation i7, 8 GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Intel Graphics 620.

This one is a lot more expensive, with less RAM and I guess a lesser quality graphics card.. However it seems to be the only one I've found that is small enough..

I'm not fussed about brands etc - I just want something small, transportable and can run models smoothly for freelance projects.

Any of your comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!!

Hello

as an architect and i work in the field of design i would recommend the Microsoft surface book it it a quite good laptop for small project like a villa or an interior work , it is little bit expensive but it is a versatile portable so it can work with you as a laptop and as a drawing tablet with a fantastic performance pen so you can achieve your sketches and all your drawing using the Autodesk sketchbook . but i repeat again it is for small project not big one other wise i recommend the lenovo gaming laptop i have also the y50-70 it is amazing and awesome you can check the renders done using the lenovo on my website www.alyrashid.com

Hi Thank you for your answer 🙂

Yeah in an ideal world I would get the Microsoft Surface Book. But at this
stage - I am very limited with my budget of £1500 absolute max.

Your Y50 might be good - but again it is at that 15" range in size.. I kind
of need something smaller and more portable

thank you again!
