Skylight won´t appear sectioned on plan view

Hi everybody,

I am having an issue here. I want to place some skylights on a sloped roof.

I am relatively new to Revit although have already a good grip of the program.

I have used the standard skylight from Revit. So the skylight shows properly in section, but it won´t appear sectioned on plan.

Please I will be very happy to hear your thoughts.

Cris

Edit the family and change the category from Windows to Generic Models.

This is a good fix for aesthetic purposes, but once turned into a generic model, you can no longer attach a window tag, or it will not appear within a window schedule. Is there another solution other than changing the type to a generic model? Thanks in advance.

Share it and Nest it into a Generic Template.

Thank you for noting barthbradley. I tried creating a generic roof family whilst nesting the window family within it. Unfortunately, it comes to the same outcome. I am using The Rooflight Co's own BIM library. Any further suggestions would be most welcomed.
