I cannot figure out how to get the Site Designer tab to show up on my ribbon. I have downloaded, uninstalled/reinstalled and downloaded the update and still no luck.

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Community.

Which version of Revit do you have? Have you already checked and followed the suggested troubleshooting steps in this Autodesk Solution on Revit: Site Designer doesn't appear on ribbon after installation? Thanks.

Hi Jeffrey,

I am using 2018. And yes, I have already taken the step listed in the post you linked. I am out of ideas. I just downloaded a plugin (not Autodesk) yesterday and it worked fine. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for the confirmation. When you go to the folder C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2018, is Site Designer Extension showing up there?

No it is not... does that mean I didn't download it correctly?

If it's not showing up there, it could be that the extension was not properly downloaded and installed. I suggest that you go back to your Autodesk Account, either go to Product Updates or click on Revit, select Downloads, and go to Updates & Add-ons tab, then download Revit 2018 Site Designer from there once again and use that to install the extension.

Let us know how it goes.

I went to download it again and it was already downloaded so I uninstalled it. Before I try to download it again, is there anything you suggest that I should do?

Nothing out of the ordinary I guess, here's the link to the instructions from the Revit Help Guide: http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2018/ENU/?guid=GUID-EC521BB9-83BF-4245-91F4-18ED94D2A284

OK, I noticed the add-in is in the 2017 program file but not the 2018 even after I downloaded the upgrade. Do you know why this might be happening?

Downloading the update from the app located on my desktop fixed the problem.
