Silly problem about shared parameters

Anonymous
Not applicable

Good morning

Sorry for the dumb question, but everytime i try to import the family attached to the post, revit gives me the classical "shared parameters error" about the same name and so on...The problem is that i already opened the family and deleted the parameters Nominal Width, Nominal Length and Net Weight (KG), and still revit gives me that error.

Thank you for the support

P.S. Should i attach the project file aswell?

Have you checked the nested families as well?

Yes, multiple times. Apparently there is no family with those parameters.

Yes, I think I see the issue. You can't remove or modify parameters in Nested Family. It's probably been created from a Template. The Template parameters are probably the issue.  You may need to rebuild the family.  The only other solution I can think of, is to locate the families in the Project that are sharing the same Parameter GUID, and change those instead.  Should be easy to locate using a Schedule.

@ToanDN  might have been onto something too; I just don't know what it is.  Is Revit throwing the same number errors with his; or less errors with his?

To really be able to troubleshoot, we would need the file that is actually throwing the errors.

Same error. I'm attaching the project file for troubleshooting.

Again, thanks for the help.

Removing the shared parameters in the familyparameter dialog, doesn't remove them from the document.

Those shared parameters you mentioned are "stored" in the elements with Id : 135714, 135755 and 135754.

Delete these elements and you should be able to load the family into the project.

Why revit tells me those IDs are not valid and will not be used?

you have to delete them in the family document.

It worked. Thank you.

PS: How did you get those IDs?
