Show linked tags in host model

We have duplicated homes with different exterior materials and I plan to show the materials in elevation views. I linked in the different buildings and have material tags labeled correctly in the linked models. The linked material tags do not show even though the material tags, for the linked models, are checked in the view template. How can I show the material tags from the linked model?

It needs to be BY LINKED VIEW. You need to pick a LINK View Name to Display.

I only get Floor Plan views to display. I need Elevation View. Also, I chose by linked view in the Annotation Categories but still no material tags show in elevation views.

You only get Floor Plan Views as an option because you are in a Revit Floor Plan View.  Go to an Elevation View and do the same thing.   No different that anything else. Annotations are View-Specific.

- Your elevation must be parallel to the elevation view you want to show the material tags

- RVT Link Display Settings > Basics > By linked view > pick a linked elevation view

- Then you can change to Custom to refine the linked VG

Thank you. I needed to have my View Template set to "None" to accomplish this. I tried through my View Template but only was able to select Floor Plan views even if I was in elevation view. Thanks again.

Well, you don't need to set the View Template to none.  Just edit it and untick one box.
