Hi members,

I wonder if we have a function to short a parameter or shared parameter in Revit. I'm using Revit 2020. But I cannot arrange my parameter as I want.

SHORT a parameter?  What does that mean?  Sounds shady.  😉

You can't edit a shared parameter. You must delete it and created again

I think they mean sort. You can assign them to different categories, and then move them up and down within those categories. Unfortunately, you cannot create your own categories, so its a bit limiting, but better than nothing I guess.

You think the OP meant "SORT", as in "GROUP".  Okay, then I now understand exactly what the OP is saying.  The Parameters aren't GROUPED the same way in the Project as in the Family. This IS an aggravation. Revit Project remembers the initial Grouping even if it is changed in the Family. It is correctable, but the cure is worse than the pain.

Project parameters are sorted alphabetically in the list.

Parameters in element properties or type properties in the project cannot be sorted.

Parameters in external families can be sorted within the family editor only.
