Sheet Viewport Re-size

Looking for way to resize a viewport (as you could in Autocadd) to show only portion of drawing. I have resized the crop region, however items such as room tags show up past the crop region.

Thoughts.

The best way to go about this, is to leave the full-sized view intact with all the tags/annotations/etc. Then in the Project Browser, duoplicate the view with detailing, which will also copy the tags. Now, crop and resize this new view as necessary, and erase the tags outside of the crop region. Erasing these tags will not affect the other views. Thanks - and obviously changes to the main floor plan drawing will be reflected in the "copy" view.

It has worked - a genius you are.

Thanks.

That's the Revit way! A change anywhere is reflected everywhere! GO TO CROP PANEL UNDER MODIFY OPTIONS FOR VIEWPORT. THEN SELECT SIZE CROP. AND THEN JUST PLAY WITH THE NUMBERS UNTIL YOU GET TO THE VIEW PORT SIZE YOU WANT.

HOPE THAT HELPS!

Hi ..

Look for Annotation Crop..

There are two crops for the view

1. Crop view

2. Annotation Crop

annotation crop.JPG

Annotation crop defines the visible area of 2D ..

Crop defines the visible area of 3D elements..

by the way, crop region can be a rectangle, or any polygon.. incase you want to edit it..
