In Revit, build two shared parameters: Room_Width and Room_Length, making sure it reports Length units.
Load these two parameters as project parameters and assign them to the Room Category.
How can I do these two steps please help .
First go to shared parameters under manage tab. There you will find the create new parameter groups / new parameters options: see also https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2015/EN...
Once you've done that go to project parameters under manage tab, add two times, select your shared parameters and in the category list select the Room category. You can also get to the shared parameters through the project parameter dialog directly to add them. Now when selecting a room you will see your parameters there.
ps. Are you trying to create a LxW room tag? Search the forum, that should give you some topics calculating those with quadratic equation.
