Shared Co-Ordinates - Linked Models

Hi all, 

This is my first post so sorry if this has already been covered previously. 

I am currently setting up a project template that I wish to add linked files that will work as place holders for project specific models to be re loaded in there place once a project starts. 

I want to do this to allow me to set up view templates within project template that can control the way the linked files display. 

Now my problem - When i initially loaded the place holders I did it using the centre to centre position and not the project base point to project base point. Because of this the project specific models are coming in at the wrong locations. 

Is there a way for me to change the links to use base point to base point positioning now they are already in the model with out deleting the links and starting again ?

No, the choice for positioning is only offered at the initial linking. It's not revisited after that when you reload or reload from.
