Select single panel

Anyone knows how can I select a single panel in a curtain wall after I replaced the panels with custom ones?

Hover your cursor over the panel and use tab. Also, allow select pinned elements from selection properties (a button bottom right screen).

Sorry for my beginner mistake as the right click was an easy choice.

However I selected the panel but I can't modify the dimension as is driven by the curtain wall grids.

So, I wanted to modify the dimension of the first board but it looks like I can't do it.

Tab thru and select the grid lines, you should then be able to modify dimensions.

To achieve what you want for construction animation, it would be easier if you split those curtainwall into 3 separate object. You can control each offset individually. If you want to built it using single curtainwall, it will be very difficult to achieve and will not get what you are looking for. See attached as sample.

it's easy to do it like this, but they don't behave like a whole system.

What do you think if I design a new line based family will all the parameters I need?

You can certain do it, but is it easy to maintain downstream? Also think about other team member that have to use your model to operate. It may sound nice to have everything built within one, but I often plan things ahead so you achieve the result you want and easiest to maintain.

I am trying to understand your goal here. Are you an architect/ engineer or a drywall sub?

  1. I am a project manager who try to to model for construction. Eventually the model will be animated in detail to determine the fastest and the most lean method of building

After reading all the comments I think that the best method is to split the model in 3 categories.

1. Steel frame with patresses and insulation as they are not variable and I can choose to show them or not

2. Plasterboard panel one with a configuration of wall or curtain wall ( I need to see how is easyer, because I need to select the plasterboards one by one )

3 Plasterboard panel two

If anyone has a better solution please let me know

Thanks
