If you have a CAD Standard of your firm or your own CAD Standard you can use them ( is the easiest way).
If you have not such Standards you can use some predefined Standards that Revit offers you or use them as start point for your own custom Export Setup :
- for Layers : AIA Standards, ISO 13567, BS1192,......chose the one that you think is more appropriate to your purpose
- For Lines :accept the default or Load DWG Line Types from > acad.lin files (ACADInterop) or other .lin file
- For Patterns: accept the default or Load DWG Hatch Pattern from > acad. pat files(ACADInterop) or other .pat file
- For Text and Fonts : accept Automatically map Font or choose other from the pulldown list
- For Colour : choose True Colour if you want to preserve them in the CAD file
- if you export a 3d , then from Solids > my advice is to choose ACIS Solid
- Units and Coordinates : select the Unit system you use...
- General contains some very useful settings: you can choose in what version of AutoCAD to save, if you want to save all in one file or in multiple linked files, you can hide some categories , export Rooms as Polylines and so on...
- All these custom settings can be saved as a New Export Setup , call it so to be identified as your own and then you'll be able to incorporate it into your Template File and use for future projects.
