Section line snap

Hello to everyone,

 

I would like to know why I can´t make the section line snap with the detail line that I have... I am sure that the program have an option of allowing me to give a specific lenght to the line, or atleast as the title says, allow me to give a specific lenght. Could you add the attachment as an image? Because Tinypic shows me only a white rectangle.

You cannot.

What you could do is draw reference planes before place the section, then you can draw the section line snapping to the planes.

Revit 2019.1 added snap feature for sections.

Drawing reference planes that are perpendicular to the sections, that what you are saying?

So in revit 2019 I can snap the section lines to the thin lines?

Yes, I believe so based on the new features reviews.

We have not yet switched to Revit 2019, so I can't test/confirm.
