Schedule Wood Columns

I figured out how to make a schedule for WF columns in order to total the length of them, but I'm having trouble doing this for the architectural wood columns. When I add the length parameter it shows up empty in the schedule, what might I be doing wrong??

Architectural Column family does not have an OOTB length parameter you need to do 1 of the following

1. either use a calculated values 
2. Or edit the family and add a shared parameter Length between the 2 reference Levels in the family (this will be automatically set to Instance Reporting) - See GIF below
