Scales and dimensions in sheet

Good day

This is my first family design (pulpit) in Revit. In order to provide design dimensions I loaded my family into a project and added the dimensions. Ones I drag my views on my sheet the scale is a mess. If I enlarge my object the dimensions ae so small, if I change the scale my object are to small... I need help

Was hoping I couldn't zoom my object in active view on the sheet but it zooms the entire page, so thats not helping.

Can someone help me with this please?

- draw your family full sized

- place on sheet and change the scale so one that makes sense: per the industry standards and the elements are legible

- make sure the dimension type are legible (all the text, arrow, extension line etc.. are annotation sized).

duplicate your dimension style and adjust the font size - after you place your view on the sheet and decide on a scale.

The simple solution is to don't mess with your View Scale after you've placed your dimensions.  Decide on what the scale of the View will be on the Sheet before you start dimensioning in the View.  In other words, place the View on the Sheet and figure out what crop size and scale works best.  Once the crop and scale have been determined, then return to the View and layout your dimensions within these confines.

Hi

Thanks so much! One last issue... It wont let me drag and drop a second 3D
view... I would like to show multi-pal 3D views from different angels.

You cannot place Views more than once on a Sheet. If you need to place the same View on more that one Sheet, duplicate the View and place the duplicate on a Sheet.
