Hi there,

I have designed a façade panel mock up that has an angle of 6degrees. I have drawn the mock up in a flat 90degree plane, but I cannot seem to rotate this to achieve the design spec angle of 6degrees. can someone assist please.

I am presented with an error box saying some element will be deleted, why is this?

Sure. Don't place the family on the level. Draw a reference plane @ 6 degree angle, name it. Then edit your family like I show, and place it on the reference plane.

please note this was in the first instance supposed to be for a visual purpose only. this has not been set by parameters or multiple ref planes.

I ideally needed a quick turn around but I have been stumped by this issue I have, so for personal gain I plan to detail this in more depth, I am just insure how yet!

Hi ToanDN,

Have you managed to review the file?

Just did.  Didn't have to change a thing in your family.

- Draw a reference plane on an elevation @ 6 degree slope

- Load the family and choose Workplane, pick the reference plane, choose a Plan view to place

- Place it, select the instance and Space Bar to rotate it 90 degree on plan

- Go to the elevation to see the result
