Rotate Section... bug?

Just curious if anyone else is experiencing this... when I rotate a Building Section that I have created, it resets the view to defaults and sometimes even renames it back to "Section 1". In the event that it renames the view, it removes the tab and I have right click and "Go to View" again. When I get into the view I have to reset the view template and adjust it to how it was. 

Basically, rotating a section cut now kicks you back to square one as if you'd just created the view. Very frustrating.

Do you have Copy box ticked when you rotate the section line?

If you are talking about the view template then yes, when you copy or rotate a section line with Disjoin box checked, Revit removes the assigned view template from the view.  If you want to retain the view template after rotation then untick Disjoin box.

have the same exact problem, started in 2023, rotate a section and revit renames it and removes the view template, I just noticed the same behavior with scope boxes, rotate a scope box and it gets renamed, very annoying

Select the section and when you're using the command ''Rotate'' make sure ''Disjoin'' option is unselected.
