Rotate & Copy Doubles Rotation Angle

When I rotate an item in Revit using the rotate command and I want to make a copy, the new instance of the item appears 2x the angle that I entered. If I want to rotate and make a copy of something at 45°, I must type in 22.5 as the rotation angle.

Is anyone else having this problem? It's not the worst problem in the world but is sure is annoying...

Thanks!

looks like the problem is sitting into the Disjoin in the options bar... when rotating make sure it is turned OFF

I have this problem when "disjoin" is ticked, if it is unticked it works as it should

Thanks for this thread. On Revit 2025.2 and this started happening also. Unticking the Disjoin sorted it.

The issue here is also that the "disjoin" checkbox cannot be unchecked whenever the "copy" option is active.

Effectively, this means that you cannot copy-rotate a workplane based family in Revit.

I've had the same problem in Revit for years (about ten years) over multiple versions.  Rotating an object in the project by a certain angle, rotates it by twice that angle.  So to rotate by 60°, I have to type in 30°.  I now use Revit 2023.1, and the problem is very much there (e.g. rotating a face-based family in the project).

Unticking "Disjoin" seems to solve the problem.  But it still seems like a bug.
