Rooms not appearing in schedule filter list

When I add a room to a project it is no longer appearing in the room schedule filter drop down for anything other than the default room schedule.

Below is from the default "Room Schedule" Filter in which all rooms appear OK.

Full Room Schedule.png

But when you use a multi catagory schedule and try to access the room number filter there is only a partial list:

e.g. Room F11 is missing, I thought it might be because there is a different length room number or the boundaries of the room so I tried adding a new room called R25, by tagging a small room that I was otherwise not interested in, and it behaved the same.

Would appreciate any suggestions....

Rooms and schedules are phase dependent.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have checked the phasing and all schedules and rooms are on the same phase (New Construction)

Is the room placed and enclosed? Further is there also something inside the room that has room properties.

Than it would show up in the room schedule, but not in the multi category schedule

Thanks again, I have checked and cannot locate anything with room properties other than the boundary walls, I also tried placing a room in an empty room but it does the same.

Probably ought to have mentioned that this is actually a linked project set up, I am creating the schedule in a project that contains only furniture, the building is a linked model with the walls set as room boundaries.

I have just checked the linked model (the building itself) and in that model even fewer of the rooms show up in the filter list (I am not actually creating schedules from within that project but thought it would be interesting to check).

hello, just a wild guess, it could be the walls are not sitting on correct levels. thanks

Ok, maybe my explanation was confusing.

If you place a room and it is bound by the walls (of the linked model). So then it should be enclosed and placed.

However when the room is empty (in your case no furniture) then the room has no objects with 'room properties' Then it will not be part of the multi category part schedule. This is because there are no objects that belong to that room.

Put some furntirue in that (new) room, on the right phase, and that room should become available in the filter list of the multi-category schedule.

Thank you!

As an additional note for future readers....

If you have items in the linked project that you want to appear on the schedule you need to have the room placed on the linked model as well with the same name/number you plan to use in the filter.

Same problem - To Room : Name not showing up in schedule.

Found a solution, however:  Turning on the Room Calculation Point in the doors with this problem.

The problem occured for double-doors family.

Hi, I have a similar issue from a client and want to make sure I am answering them correctly. Their issue is that they have a linked Revit file (in Revit 2021), and the client wants to add room tags to the rooms in the linked file. I should note that the file they gave me does not seem to be linked (as the save to central symbol is not highlighted - but greyed out - making me think they detached from central). They want to add Room tags in the linked Architectural Model but in the furniture schedule the tags are NOT appearing. Is there a way to fix this?

Hi, I have a similar query - I had room furniture schedules that were working fine but overnight one room now reflects several around it whilst those reflected rooms' schedules are empty.

The rooms are located in a construction model and the schedules in a furniture model with the construction model linked in.

But it worked fine, now doesn't and our office is stumped.

Any ideas?
