Rooms cant be placed

Existing conditions are set up all exterior walls are existing and all new unit partitions are new. i have checked all things i could think of to why i cant place any rooms in specific places within a building model. all walls are room bounding and all parameters match in adjacent areas which have rooms placed, nothing is hidden, without using room separation lines i should be able to place rooms in the white spaces, but am denied the ability. any ideas ?

likely the cut plane of the view is higher than the room's upper limit.

Couple of things to check.

1. Check and see if the exterior wall is room bounded

2. Set the computation height to value other than 0

3. Check and see if there is plan region in that location

I have not found any plan regions and all other settings make sense as i can place rooms in most of the building except those 2 places

Is there floor or roof floating in that area? Cut a section so we can see where the rooms are at.

Computation height is quite high, that is usually much lower.

One way you can test is add arbitrary room boundary separation and add room to those region. That way you can isolate section area that is causing the issue.

Great at least we are getting somewhere. Now check and see if the column & exterior walls are set to room boundary.

It's usually 0'-0". Make sure there are no floor elements that are room bounding and above the level.

all rooms are set to room bounding on all floors, all walls are set to room bounding on all wall types (highlighted orange)

as you can see by the images other rooms have been placed and all of the settings are typical, there is nothing in the spaces that a room can't be placed to interfere trying to get this done without the use of room separation lines

Do you have all you worksets turned on? Is there something hidden on a turned off workset?

all worksets on

nothing hidden

rooms in other locations on the effected floors

it is not a design option

it is not a phasing issue

it is not a plan region sisue

it is an anomaly to say the least i  have never seen this before
