When I edited a curtain wall to an irregular shape, I got the error messages "can't make type....." and some of the manually added mullions disappeared;
Then I make a curtain wall of irregular shape before I added curtain grids, I still got the error messages .
How to fix this?

After I change the panel to system panel, I didn't get the error messages, but do not understand the reason.
Also I have another issue is the due the shape of the curtain wall, the added mullion (red) can't align with the ones along the circumference (blue),

The reason is that a custom panel family can only be of rectangular shapes.
To your other question, move the red curtain grid and the mullion will move with it.
You can also edit the profile of a Curtain Wall using Basic Wall Types as Panels.
I am not able to set the grid half of the mullion width away from the CW boundary, so the mullions don't align with the frames of the CW
I don't recall I had this issue before when I use regular curtain wall - add grid then add mullion; Perhaps it is because I used curtain wall - storefront this time? The mullion shows right after I add grid.
Your curtain wall type has fixed grid spacing. To move a grid, you need to set it to independent, or unpin it.

This time I changed to the typical CW I used to use but still had the issue. I didn't see fixed grid spacing and I also tried unpin it, they just didn't align with each other. Looks like the mullion centers on the grid if there are panels on both side and it will be off center if it is along the boundary.
Edit the CW shape after adding grids and mullion, I can avoid the issue. but still get error messages. I don't know what elements were deleted, since the mullions of warning are still there after I had to click "delete"; I noticed the automatic embed is unchecked, but checking that also didn't stop the error messages

I am not clear why you can't move the curtain grid line. You can also create another mullion type and make it off center by changing Width on Side 1 or Width on Side 2 = 0 and the other one = the width of the mullion, than assign it to the one curtain grid.
Copy and paste the curtain wall to a new file and share it here.

Just accept the warning and move on. Nothing important is deleted. And embed has nothing to do with it.
I have no problem moving your curtain grids 1" so that the mullions align with the border frame.

unpin it, and align the mullion to the board frame? Did you make a new mullion that side 1 side 2 width different? Otherwise the mullion should not be able to be moved if that side width is set up, unless we set it as free?
Can you list your steps? I tried both of them, still can't move them.

TAB and move the curtain wall grid, NOT the mullion.
No I didn't need to make any new mullion type. It is another approach but not necessary.

I just realized the reason I was not able to make it work by moving the grid is I happened to have structural grid aligning with the curtain grid, so every time I tried to pick the curtain grid I ended up picking the structural grids (locked).
