Default Room signage - scheduling, visualization AND inventory view for client presentations?
I'm looking at integrating a signage into our model but it looks like we will have to be able to create an array of the signs in a grid for client review.

To that end will we need two different families, one placed adjacent to a door into a room and another in a separate portion of the model that reads data from the first?

Can anyone recommend a smart/efficient way to produce what we need?

No. You can create a Legend view and put the signage types in for presentation.

Or create a new phase call it mock up phase, place copy of the signages and create elevation fr presentation. I always have a mock up phase for stuff like that so that can arrange them independently from the working model and views.

thanks for that, truthfully i havent worked with phases much before, so apologies for this question:

if i were to "copy" to another phase wouldn't the two sign instances be disconnected? The intent was to have them linked so that you could view in place and then also in a flat elevation view, equally spaced, print layout where you can see all at once - does your suggestion still work given the criteria?

Legend view and mockup phase approaches are good with showing types, not instances.  Examples of types:  typical room sign, bathroom sign, stair sign, exit sign.  Examples of instances: room specific signs.  I thought for presentation you would show sign types, not sign instances, but I could be wrong.  Could you confirm so I would be able to give more specific idea?
