Room appearing and disappearing when wall drawn in center...mysterious

I have an old file that was working and now one of the rooms has disappeared in view and will not show up unless I draw a wall in the middle of the room.  Very strange.  I'm hoping there is an easy answer for this mystery.

Here is a link to the video that shows what is happening....

Thanks,

Marla

Boy, this one is a head-scratcher.  What about deleting the Room and recreating it?  What happens?  Same thing?

Replace room...warning re visibility.

Here's the video and the file.  It has to be the visibility in the floor plan...still why show up when I draw a wall?  Also it happens in all the plans....if you look at the sheet.

Beats me, I feel like I'm missing something obvious.

Thanks for your time.

I was able to correct it by working through and resolving Warnings.

Fix the Bounding walls at the WC/Half Bath..

  1. either use one wall (and use an insert for the opening)
  2. or make both Not bounding  and extend the Room separation
  3. Or use one wall which is bounding + edit its profile to create the Opening

Not really...don't think it is even related. the 2 walls of the Half bath has no warning...I simply placed a section and noticed the below...too many bounding elements (none overlapping)...simplifying that spot fixed the issue

Just a quick question. Any ideas why it resolved when I drew a wall in the middle of the room?

The WHY should not be important at this point 🙂 what matters is the bigger picture, the HOW?

Although the 2 walls causing the issue did not have any registered errors, you still managed to solve the issue as suggested by going through the whole list of errors without knowing which or if any caused the issue.

If that is what gets the users to clean up that warning list regularly, this is what I will be doing 😄 force a room to magically disappear
