Roof Won't Join

I have 2 roofs at 2 different heights. I was able to connect the other roof super easy, but the left roof seems to be giving me trouble. I have tried using the join/unjoin roof command, but it gives the the error message of "Part of the roof to be joined misses the target face."

Not sure what I am supposed to do now.

I've got to model it as a roof by extrusion and cut by a void, then join with the left roof.

You can try to snap on the Wall Face from bellow instead of pick on the Roof Face (sometimes this works)

If you can not manage so , I suggest to use Void Component > Roof :

  • extend the lower roof into the main volume.
  • draw a vertical Reference Plane so to be perpendicular on the Target Surface on which you want to join and name it somehow
  • then in the Elevation View parallel with this Reference Plane create a Model in Place Component> Roof > an Extrusion Void . Adjust it in a 3d view to cat the lower roof following the profile of the main building
  • Select the lower roof and the Void and apply Cut.
