Roof wall join - one side roof misses

Hi Members, 

Any help appreciated in advance. 

The wall I am trying to join misses the roof when I use automatic "attach top/base" tool. One side will reach the underside of the roof but the opposite side stays squared off. I have tried to move around the location of where the wall end is but this has no impact on the join of the roof. 

Normally I end up just editing the profile manually, not a problem just a nuisance. 

The wall in question is the front elevation with the circular window.

One roof at the top with a single wall join just one half aligns itself and the other side remains squared off. Happens most of the time not sure if its something I am doing wrong or a glitch

Splitting the wall works as a workaround but if a move the walls they revert back to the original problem. 

I presume this is an error rather than something I am doing wrong on my end?

Its because of how you have drawn the top part of the wall.

If the base of the wall is higher than the eaves level, and the wall is wider or equal to the width of the roof then it causes the error you have to. Below are some screenshots that might explain it better.

1 - wall base lower than eaves. Everything works fine.2 - Wall base higher than eaves. Causes issue3 - Pull in the sides of the wall (so there is at least 1 mm of vertical wall) to fix

It might not be an ideal fix, but its how i have always got around it

Why do you need to move the wall after you split? Put it in the correct location first and then split it in two and try attaching to roof.

The two provided workarounds are the easiest ways to address your problem.  Other ways are edit the wall profile manually and lock the top profile lines to underside of the roof, or create a mass in place then Wall by face.

Just had a look at the solution you mentioned. That is indeed the problem with the wall. I have aligned to inside of the roof and worked perfectly.
