I am trying to create a dormer on the side of a roof. The dormer has a gable end that lines up with the edge of the roof to which it attaches.
The problem is that it will not let me use the join command to join the two roofs if the edge of the gable of roof 2 is lined up with the fascia of roof 1. If I offset the roof 1/32" in front then it will let me join but then it shows the line in front of the fascia of roof 1. I would like to show these two roofs connected.
If I offset the fascia roof gable just slightly, as I said 1/32" it will let me join the two roofs. If I modify the boundary after the fact and use the align command to align with the fascia of roof 1 it will unjoin the roof. Thanks. Please advise.
Regards Peter.
