Roof Footprint problem in Revit Architecture 2011

I am trying to modify the footprint of my gabled roof. I am trying to move the Defined Sloped Lines out 1'. Revit tells me it cannot create footprint. There are parts of some of the walls attached to the Roof that the Warning says it "Misses the Target". Part of some of the walls miss the roof because there are two openings for Clerestorys. The Defined Sloped lines are not set up as overhangs. What to do ?

Can you post an image... it helps to see the issue sometimes...

Have you tried recreating the entire roof with the correct overhangs?

I will re-create the roof at a last resort. I would rather not have to re-attach the walls to deck. What view would you like to see. Roof Plan, Perspective or both.

I certainly understanding not wanting to recreate it...

both views and one when editing the footprint.

Have you tried redrawing the lines you want to replace for the overhang?

You don't have any extra lines, just a single loop of lines - right?! - Just trying to think of why it would not create it...

I tried redrawing the lines - no dice. No duplicate lines. There are three loops in this roof. The outline and the two other loops opening the roof at the Clerestorys.
