Freezes on first launch

Hi. I just installed Revit Architecture 2011. I didn't get any errors during installation. If I run it, the splash screen appears followed by the error that it might not support my videocard followed by the "Recent Files" screen where I can select a basic/advanced sample project or a basic/advanced sample family. This is as far as it loads. If I click New or try to open an existing file, it freezes (I already have a project even though I've never run Revit at thome because I created the project at school). It also won't run in safemode. According to the knowledge base, it might "be a conflict with the ArchVision Content Manager Location."

.

You're supposed to edit Revit.ini and change the following lines:
[ACMSettings]
ACMOnNetwork=
ACMNetworkPort=
Those lines are not in my Revit.ini file.
.
So I thought I would try adding the edited lines but I didn't know where to put them. I put them at the top after [Revit.ini] as follows:
[ACMSettings]
ACMOnNetwork=1
ACMNetworkPort=14931
Did I put them in the wrong place?
.
Here are my specs
Windows XP Pro SP3
ATI 512MB 4850 (there shouldn't be a problem with the card since it has Shader model 4.1)
4GB RAM (3.25 remains after booting)
Currently I am not using the 3GB switch.
Thanks for any help.

I would test the following 3 items:

1.  Verify it is not the TS below:

Revit 2011 Hangs at Splash Screen or Crashes with Unrecoverable Error

2.  Apply web update 2 service pack prior to launching from the link below:

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=14973244

3.  If the issue persists, and you would like to edit the Revit.ini the lines should go in the following default location:

[Selection]
AllowPressAndDrag=1
[ContentUpdated_SP1]
Updated=1
[UserInterface]
DisplayRecentFilesPage=1
[AppFrame]
Theme=1
[ACMSettings]
ACMOnNetwork=1
ACMNetworkPort=14931

[CommonDialog]

Please let us know if this was helpful.

Thank you,

When I downloaded and installed it, I didn't see the configure button in the installation screen. I installed it again and saw the configure button so I clicked it and saw there was a patch to download. So it works now. Thanks.
