Roof facia/eve issue

I have a fairly simple roof with gable ends:

-I created the "Main" roof by footprint.

-I then created a second roof with same pitch but it is 90 degrees perpendicular the the "Main" roof.

-Both roofs are the same assembly etc.

-I then joined the second roof to "main" but things dont line up. The plumb cuts are different! (see pics)

-I tried to do it as one footprint but Revit wont allow it (see pic)

-I even tried it by extrusion but the off-set moves from roof deck to bottom of rafters.

-Align eves wont work either as when in sketch mode it says they are already equal

Any ideas out there?

I tried replicating your roof problem and can't seem to get the same issue. Is it possible to share your file so we can take a look?

Model it as one roof and make sure these two segments should be exactly the same length.

I attached the file. However the roof is still made up of two different ones as tryng to sketch it as one footprint wasn't working, even with your suggestions.

Typically the two roof will create these abnormally due to variation of the slope. The main one is 9"/12" while smaller one is 8"/12". This will cause the fascia to not meet. If both small and large is at the same angle, it will match. However you can built both different slope with single roof outline. See attached how you are able to create a single roof instead of two.

Thanks for that fix! I swear I drew the same thing many times only to get an error!

Could it be because Im using LT?

I doubt it is LT. It could the line overlapping and giving you the error message.
