Hello,
I made a simple roof of 5.4m by 5.4m with a slope of 30 degrees.
If i make a schedule ill get an area of 34m2.
But how does Revit calculate this area?

5.4m * 5.4m is the projection of the roof
Hypotenuse = Adjacent / cos30 = 5.4m / 0.866 = 6.236m
=> Area = 3.236 * 5.4 = 33.7m2
(WITH ROUNDING = 34M2)

Hello, I have created a website where you can have this calculatios done automatically.
In your case it would be a shed roof

That doesn't sound smart at all and very 2nd millennium BC. Wheres the I in my BIM?
Isn't there any way to schedule the roofing area? Would be handy for more complex roof shapes....
