Revit2012 Corrupt File

Anonymous
Not applicable

I'm trying to open an old Revit2012 file - I keep getting the corrupt file error. I do not have any backup files but I do see an image of my elevations in the preview window which gives me hope. I've tried all options discussed in the forums with no success, any new ideas?

I'm attaching the file in hopes that someone can help me!

Thank you!

Looks like you're going to need ADSK to wave their magic wand o' doom over this file.  Contact ADSK support.  Or your reseller.

Hi Carolina,

I tried opening it but yes, it corrupted. Below is the link from Autodesk, if you are on subscription, you can create support ticket which is the option 3.

Did you try looking for Journals files (if anybody worked on this file in the computer you era using) an open it?

Look in AppData on your pc at %LOCALAPPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit\<Product name and release>\Journals

Or opening the file you have with Audit option marked

From revit application menú: Open -> Project -> select the file and check Audit -> Open

I already opened the file with Audit checked, it's not working. Still corrupted.

Thanks @Anonymous @samuelsanf @Anonymous for looking into it. I have already contacted Autodesk and they said they don't support Revit 2012 anymore. Nothing else I can do but I had to try!

Thanks again!
