Revit tools blocked by info banner that won't disappear

Hi... not sure if anyone can assist with this as possibly a tech glitch as opposed to anything Revit function specific but I have a little information banner (the type that appears when you hover over something) that is blocking a couple of my architecture tools and it won't go away even when I close and re open the application?!

Not sure it's relevant but specific message is:

'Click to go back (alt + left arrow) hold to see history'

Many thanks 🙂

Doesn't sound like it's scaling properly.  Did you recently install an Add-in?  Disable it and see if the problem goes away.

Also...

-- Do a Repair Installation

@N.culliford3224

Do you mean the Revit tool tip pop-up on mouse over?

If yes, I have seen this behavior on a couple of machines which were low on disk space and cash...clearing the %TEMP% and freeing up space on the main drive resolved the issue

Go to Options=>User Interface and try the different "Tooltip Assistance" settings.

Toggle these settings and see which combinations work for you.

I don't think that's big enough, @ToanDN. Try this one:

Thanks so much for your help @barthbradley .... bizarrely I accidentally left revit open overnight and this morning the banner has gone despite it still remaining after a couple of shut downs yesterday. I will still apply the solutions everyone suggested to avoid further issues.
