Revit stuck in Absolute path

I have a project where the links were pathed in as relative.  Somewhere one of my users changed it to absolute.  Normally not a problem but I'm working with out of office users that do not have access to the absolute path.  I changed the path type to relative and did a "reload from...."  however my paths are not stuck as abolute.  I tried reloading to a copy of the lonked file... also did not work.  I tried manually typing in the relative path and it just resolves it back to absolute.

I am using Revit 2014.  And ideas on how to change the saved path back to relative?

I have also heard of people writting API's for this...?

I'm glad you posted that video... but that was not working for me.  I figured out the problem though.

My Central file had been resolved to a UNC path.  where my links were using standard windows pathing.  once I changed my links to UNC paths they were fixed and resolved back to relative pathing.
