Revit - Paint Plan Accent Walls

Please reference the attached. This was done in Mircostation (yes, please don't shoot me). What would be the best way to do this "intelligently" in revit. In the past we just did detail lines on plan. I had a thought of using a filter that was based on material. Paint the wall with the accent material then use a filter to override the graphics in manner to suit.

Your idea is good and you should model the walls in 3d.

For painting a wall in different colours at each side I would create a wall with 2 or 3 layers (or even the existing true layers) and define the colours by the material or grafic override like you said.

So you don't even need to set filters.

Do you know of a way to graphic override only particular layers of a wall make up? Looking for a thick line of color.

Are they Revit Walls? If so, you can create turn the Wall into Parts and then Override Layers.

I would convert the wall into parts. In there you can specify what materials go into part of the wall

In the filter, you would choose parts as your parameter and choose the material for that wall.

On the plan, you set to the cut and change the wall and it will color base on your material.
