Hello,

I have created a project file and and everything was fine, I tried opening the file today and the project opened but none of the layers, such as, floor plans, and 3D views are not visible. I have several versions of this file and all of them are the same- will open but are not visible. I have not changed any settings since opening the file.

Could you please share the Revit file for investigation? What is the file size. ?

You are using this word, "layers", from the AutoCAD's world, and now you are showing an empty 3d view.

Oh, oh... please tell me that you were not drawing with detail lines.

Apart from that possibility, perhaps you didn't save what you were doing? I see that this project is still called "Project 1". It can be named Project 1, but usually one would save that with a different name.

Maybe Levels are Hidden By Element or By Category. Reveal Hidden Element (lightbulb icon on VCB) to see.  Maybe Levels are cropped out of View. Uncheck Crop View as well as Section Box in the View's Properties Pallet.

Assuming you have the correct file open and saved your work previously...were you using the massing features? If so, massing is not visible by default in most views so while you were creating mass elements Revit would turn them on but when you return to the file later the mass category is off.

It's also possible in that 3d view screenshot that you have a DWG file (if you imported/linked one) that has very large extents and you can't see the model because you are so far away. You can turn off the Imported Categories in Visibility/Graphics to test, zoom all after doing so...if you're model becomes visible then the CAD file is affect the extents of the project's view.

Check the view settings for the mass category.
