REVIT NOT WORKING ON MY ALIENWARE R15

Good day,

I recently got a new ALIENWARE 15 with specifications of ; Nvidia GTX970M, 16GB RAM, 2.5GHz, 4K display.

after installation, revit opnes up alright but when in use it uses great difficulty accepting commands more like its struggling to work.

I have tried both Revit 14 and 15 but all to no avail, the same issue of not responding to commands.

would be very grateful if this forum helps me out of this issue,

Thanks.

What is your Microsoft OS? Try to change the display setting to 150%. If this works for you. Thanks

Hello,

I'm using alienware too.

Generaly alienware have 2 problems with revit and ofc theres have solution for them.

1.Change screen resolution

2.Change screen size

3.Check your video card driver for match with tested from Autodesk. (in my case i downgrade my driver).

I hope this will help you!

I was only able to reduce the resolution from 3840x2160 (4K) to anything less, like 1080p. And I tried that but still to no avail.
I didn't see any option to change the % of the display.
although after reducing the resolution, there was a little improvement but its still not working like its supposed.
thanks

Mac uses the % stuff for the display, Alienware is typical windows.
So does % for display in Mac tally with resolution on alienware?
if yes, am i supposed to increase the resolution or decrease it?
thanks

This Autodesk Knowledge Network article, Revit: User Interface does not display correctly on high resolution monitors, explains setting the enlargement of text/other items to a maximum of 150%.

Thanks i tried to reduce the resolution from 4k to 1080p, it was a better but still was not responsive to commands such as (save as) amongst others. When i open a revit file, it opens quite alright then it starts to flicker which i think is cos of the resolution after i adjust it down to 1080p it gets better but still isn't functioning properly such that i have to use (Task manager) to close the revit file all the time.
Please do you know how to solve this isssue.

Go to control panel>display >set a custom scaling level ..and change scale to 150%.
Sign out of your computer and sign in again
