I'm a Revit LT user and having an issue with some of the models I work on not saving backup files. The files I have created from scratch behave the way I would expect them to and create a maximum of 3no. backup files that I could fall back on should the main file get deleted / corrupted.
My issue is with models that I have picked up from others. These files save a separate backup folder rather than a series of numbered .rvt files and as far as I can tell there is no may of me recovering a backup from any of the files in this folder using the LT version. I assume this is something to do with the file originally being created with a full Revit licence, but not having much experience in the full version I'm not sure why it does this or why it's transferring over to a model being used in LT... a small amount of research suggests this is how backups may be created when working with workshared/central files??
Not having a clear backup (other than any copies I create manually, which is less than ideal!) to fall back on should something happen to my main model is pretty scary. Does anyone know how I can resolve this?
