Revit Legend not updating

I'm trying to update a legend, it has louver families in it. It will not update, even if I create a new legend it still brings in the olds sizes of louvers and not the new sizes of louvers. Any suggestions?

Hi,

may I ask which product you are speaking about?

Vanilla AutoCAD does not have any functionality with legends.

Hi @Anonymous,

Are these legends blocks with attributes?  If so, try using ATTSYNC or BATTMAN to get them to update. If you are using a different type of object can you give more detail or attach a sample file?

Hi,

>> what I did was save each family as a different one

Also AutoCAD does not know anything about "families" ... which product are you using?

Because of "family" and "legend" I guess you landed in the wrong forum. The question is now which is the correct forum for your question.

Hi,

Well, then let's see if someone can move this thread to the Revit forum >>>there<<<.

As here is the AutoCAD forum not very much people will be able to understand your question and give valid suggestions.

Good luck, - alfred -

Are the old and new sizes in the same family?

I just saved the family with a different name, changed the original louver for the one with the new name, when I re-inserted the new one into the schedule it came in with the correct size. But basically is was re-doing the legend.

If the changed family had the same name, it would have over-written the old family and updated the legend.

I tried overwriting the Revit family at first. But it did not update, When I re-inserted the new louver size, the old size came in. This was a Revit family from Ruskin. Therefore I ended up creating six different families from the original family. Maybe it's just an awkward family. But nevertheless, I fixed it and I consider this closed...
