Revit Join/Unjoin Roof command

Hello everyone, when doing "Join/Unjoin Roof command" no lines can be selected. 

Where is the problem?

Do you mean Join/ Unjoin geometry? Make sure the roofs are visible. Maybe switch to a 3D view so they are easier to be selected.

No, I truly mean the Roofs' command. I've already tried in all the views (planimetric, 3D, section..) and nothing works...

I see.  Make sure the line is on a roof plane that when extends, will meet the plane of the other roof.
