is it possible to change the color or look of the Revit icon on ones desktop or taskbar?

I noticed that '18 '19 and '20 icons are the same.

HA! Yes, we need this.  I actually contacted Autodesk directly about this a few years ago.  They told me no. But then I read this Ideate article that described how to do it.  I screwed things up miserably trying their solution. Never tried again.

Manually yes. But you need to create your own icons.

That's what I had to resort to as well. I had to create my own icons with the version number so that I could keep them straight. It is common to be working on a project in CA phase that is in a previous version and don't want to upgrade the file, at the same time working on a new project in the latest version of Revit. It can be devastating if someone accidently upgrades the file during construction, especially if the consultants are not on board.
