Hello,
The background to my problem is:
On one hand, I have a site model with a cad survey linked to it. The coordinates are aquired from that file.
On the other hand, I have a building model that I linked into the site model. I published the coordinates to the building model.
This was done a few weeks ago, so I hope all the steps have been done right.
Today, I moved the linked building model in the site model, so that the building is placed correctly at the right height position. I also moved the levels of the site model, so that all levels from both building and site models align.
When moving the elements up, I get an alert saying "In the link Building model.rvt, the shared coordinates have been modified, but not saved. When reopening, the link instances will be restored to their last positions saved. You can save the link later in the Manage links dialogue". 3Saving now" the link would make Revit crash (so something must be very wrong), but clicking ok would work fine.
When I try to synchronise, I get another alert saying I "cannot save the link building model because the changes do no only concern the shared coordinates. Saving may damage the local files".
Note: the levels in the site model have been modelled using the Copy/monitor from the Collaborate tab. Not sure it's related, but just in case.
I did a quick search to see if it's a familiar error, but no luck so far.
Can anyone help??
Many thanks
PS: alert messages attached (but in French)
Thank you for this link!
I'm not sure I quite understand completely. I want to publish coordinates from site model to the linked building model. Does it say I should disable the worksets in the linked building model and then publish coordinates (from host site model to linked building model)?
