Revit glitches issue

I have been trying to run Revit on a windows 10 VM on Azure, I have installed the latest drivers but I am facing a video flickering issue or glitches when I am dragging and moving the image within the screen.

Is there any workaround for this issue?

Hi @Anonymous

Welcome to the Autodesk community! I see that you are visiting for the first time.Smiley Happy

Sorry to hear that you are facing issues.

Please check your Autodesk Desktop App for latest updates for your Revit version as the first step. Next check for the latest updates for your graphics card from the manufacturer's website.

Once the updates are in place, see if you still experience glitches.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Hi Viveka,

Thank you for your response.

Mainly there is some flickering when trying to move the video image across the screen. It is not smooth.

From the driver side I am sure that I have installed the latest NVIDIA driver.

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for getting back.

Another thing you can check is the specifications for system requirements for Revit products HERE

This error may also occur due to the size of your models, for bigger models - the minimum spec might not be sufficient.

Also, are you using a high-resolution monitor (3K or 4K)? If so check your desktop scaling and lower it to 150%

Looking foward to hearing from you.

Hi Viveka,

Will try the scaling thing and let you know.

But for the specifications and I tried it on a 12 core 112 GB RAM VM so I believe this is not the issue.

One last thing, can this be related in any way with windows 10 updates?

Hi @Anonymous

Sure, let me know how the scaling goes.

Did you experience glitches before updating windows 10?

Yes, regarding windows 10 updates, we have had recent crashes linked to the updates.

See HERE for more information and recommendations to try.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello Viveka,

I tried your recommendation maybe there is a 10% improvement but still not
so smooth.

Actually I am using machines with the following GPUs:

1- NVIDIA Tesla K80

2- NVIDIA Tesla M60

Are they supported? Could their types causes the issue?

Would it be possible if I tried to use a machine with a CPU processor and
installing another type of drivers?

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for getting back to me.

Please see the system requirements and recommendations for the Revit product line. A list of certified cards can be found on the Autodesk Certified Hardware page.

Can you share your journals and NFO files - this will help us investigate further. I can share a private folder if you'd prefer.Let me know.

I look forward to your reply update.
