Hello I&L community,
There is a known issue where Autodesk products will crash due to the latest Windows operating system updates installing .NET Framework 4-4.7.
These steps below have been updated & some suggestions have been sourced from Microsoft as this is a Microsoft issue:
1. On a Windows 7, you can uninstall the .NET Framework 4.7 using the "Control Panel" under "Program & Features" & right-click "Uninstall"
On a Windows 8.1,10, you will have to uninstall the entire Windows update, including the 4.7 .NET Framework
2. Reinstall .NET Framework 4.7 or the latest update (depending on the OS) through Windows Update Center or on Microsoft's website
3. Temporarily disable touch and stylus support for your WPF applications for Windows 7
4. Then, launch your Autodesk product

"COMException" error Windows 7
*Note: If you can no longer uninstall the update, several Microsoft customers have conducted a System Restore to have the update removed.
