I am having the same problem with Revit 2020. Could you please elaborate
your explanation for how you solved the problem, perhaps a step-by-step
list please? I screwed around with the permissions for Revit.exe,
RevitWorker.exe, and the folder they are both inside of. I changed every-
thing that I could find to "full control" and ran as an administrator. I even
tried running RevitWorker.exe before running Revit, all to no avail. I had
the same problem with 2018 and 2017.
A Windows 10 update in May 2018 crashed my computer to the point where
I had to reinstall the OS and all of my applications. Before the update, Revit
2017 and earlier versions worked just fine as did AutoCAD. Since that OS
reinstall, no Autodesk product will work on my computer. It is an MSI gaming
laptop bought specifically for the 32Gb of memory so that I could run Revit,
AutoCAD, and a browser with dozens of open windows all at the same time.
So I am desperate for any ideas that will enable me to use these software
products again. I can't even take classes in it to access it as the community
colleges have limited lab hours and when I have time, they are closed. This
has been most frustrating.
Desperately,
Jan Neff-Sinclair
