Revit file gets corrupted if I click on the Audit box when opening

I try to audit a file when opening - by clicking on the audit box- and no matter if I detach it or not Revit popes up with the 'Corrupted file needs to be manually recovered'. The issue here is that we can open the file and work on it but the corrupted window only appears when selecting the Audit box.

I try to check on the backup files and all of them operate the same way with the corruption issue.

Obviously there is something wrong with the file and I would like to fix it before it gets completely unusable.Thoughts?

Thanks a lot!

send the file to autodesk so they can check/fix it for you...is your software on subscription?  you can send a free email tech support ticket if your software is still on subscription.
