REVIT FAMILY

I got assigned a special task at work this week. They are going to build a house out of mass produced square pieces. The walls are going to be 2.5 meters x 2.5 meters and the same goes for the floor pieces. Some of the walls will have a door in it, some will have a window and the rest will just be a standard wall. What i need to do is to make components of the walls in Revit with the exact dimensions that the wall is going to be so i can load them into project and put next to each other and copy them however i like. The problem is that when i am creating a new family (standard generic model family) and making an extrusion that is the size of the wall, i can not place an already existing door or window in it. Is there any way to fix this without using the family type: "Generic model wall based"? Because if i use that i wont be able to get the square pieces(components) i am looking for.

Would really appreciate help!

Create a design and options in revit file ..using Default geniric Wall windows etc..

now use this file as a LINK in the project where you are assembling them to create overall design..

create as many design option revit link as required and use them as link..

Why not make your modules as Groups of walls in the Project?
